Nini looked to Mela "I'll let you know when I know ok?" She told her as she pulled into the ice cream drive through

Mela nodded

Nini looked at Mela "What do you want for ice cream?" She asked

Mela shook her head "not hungry"

Nini shrugged and got herself some as she telepathically asked Zoey how Dia was doing and started towards the house

~Not good but not bad either~ Zoey replied

~ what's going on exactly? I need to let Mela know. Kid's got a crush on Celeste and likes Celeste's mom- whatever she's just freaking out~

AnnaMerie nodded "I am - do you have any questions for me?"

"We aren't sure yet. Maybe asthma or breathing issues or she could be perfectly fine" the nurse shrugged

~Then tell her she was injured pretty badly in the fire but the healing gods should be able to.heal her soon~

"How is your child?" A technicae council member asked.

Celeste sighed and looked at their dad. "Why didn't you..."

Komori shook his head. "I did save her... It's just that by the time I got past the blockage of the house starting to fall apart... By the time I got to her... She was already badly burned. Thank God I can fly otherwise we might have not made it out... Even I got a pretty bad burn on my arm, but the healing gods were able to heal it."

Celeste hugged Komori. "I'm sorry I lied to you..."

Komori sighed. "Celeste- or do you go by Riley today?- I know you were being careful at the rave. I know you're cautious and smart. But there are plenty of bad people who could hurt you... I mean, you can kick lots of asses, but there is still a chance that someone might be able to hurt you. And as your parent, I can't have you risking that." Komori cocked his head. "How'd you get into the rave anyway? Fake ID?"

Celeste bit their lip. "Uh..."

"Let me see it."

"Fine..." They pulled out a card from their pocket and handed it to him.

Komori looked it over. "Niiiice... Well made, I'll give you that. Did Mela make it?"

"No I did."

Komori handed it back, making Celeste surprised. "You can keep it. Never know when something like that could come in handy. Just promised me you won't lie like this again."

"I promise!"

"Oh and, you're grounded from video games for two weeks. Your mom might add to that punishment or take from it when she wakes up."

The council member made a face at her mention of them going to her dimension's schools. "I still say a better quality education could happen in our schools..." They muttered

AnnaMerie's smile didn't waver "You wouldn't know - nor could you possibly know" she said to them "And pardon me, but no child could ever possibly get a decent education while they're being beaten and ridiculed every single day of their lives" with that elaboration AnnaMerie put her hand in her pocket, wrapping her fingers over her notebook which held and catalogued every injury her children had ever gotten from the Technique in case they challenged that "If your schools were so great no child would be making it so hard for my children to be able to learn in a safe atmosphere - now remember I have been to your schools, and it didn't take me long to find a school that matched yours"

"I see...fine. I am sorry your children hav faced such discrimination. We are trying to put measures in place, but the people refuse to listen... Your children are viewed as imperfect, which is a shame, because to us they are simply fascinating."

"My children" AnnaMerie started, looking the Technique in the eyes "Are more perfect than any of you could ever be" she said to them, still smiling though it was strained "They can do everything you're able to do, except they don't need to charge, they have magick, and they know the difference between true perfection, and lack of flaws" she said to them as she looked over at the time to see how long she had

"I know. Those children are perfect, more so than the technicae. And that's what has us in the council so intrigued. That's why we wish to study them more. To know how they work, and how we might be able to achieve that perfection someday. No needing to charge, the ability to use magic... The magical and technological sides of them existing in harmony without conflict... it's amazing. And we are intrigued.
"To be honest, now that I think about it, only part of society hates your children for perceived imperfection... I believe that the majority of society hates them because they know that those children are more perfect than themselves. And they are jealous and bitter and hateful."

Hatia herself came to me and told me she wouldn't allow it - the only reason she let me keep my children was because she knew I wouldn't raise them to attempt to disrupt the balance. Existence isn't ready for that sort of thing, and it probably will never be ready for it - Nature nearly killed me because I had those children. Because they go so far against Nature as a whole. The only way you could stand a chance would be to get the files from the organization and everything was wiped from there - by Hatia. She doesn't want that sort of information out there and even if you somehow manage to recover the files, she translated it back to the first languages. "We might not achieve it. But we are a culture that strives for perfection and efficiency. We will most likely try to achieve it, even if we never succeed. We are not part Old One like your children, so it would be highly unlikely that we would ever achieve such a perfection as to be able to do all that they can. But if there is a perfection above our own, we will strive for it, even though we will probably never reach it. Especially considering that Hatia would not be afraid to wipe our community and make us start back from the bottom if we get too powerful. This is why we stick to our own dimension, where we can strive for perfection without harming the outside world.
"As for that last comment of yours, we know very well our moral compass is not the same as yours. But in a community as big as ours, as needy as ours, as... perfect, per se, as ours... sometimes our methods are immoral to outsiders, but necessary to our continued survival. We do not have the time or money to try to deal with every glitch that pops up. And we cannot just let them drag on society... We do not scrap the productive ones. But the ones that are too glitched to be efficient enough, that's when they must be scrapped. But as you said, it is a discussion for another day. Your time is up, I believe. AnnaMerie shook her head and chuckled "No you don't understand - and you're probably thinking that you know exactly what I mean when I say you're not as perfect as you believe you are but no. You really don't understand" she said and looked up at them - she still technically had thirty seconds to speak and she was going to use it - she'd be damned if she didn't get the final word. Why? She didn't really know, maybe it was the annoying arrogant tone they were taking with her.

"And sticking to your own dimension does not by any means keep you safe. The balance doesn't just stick to one dimension. It's effected by every single one" AnnaMerie informed them before looking at them "Twenty seconds"

"It isn't just morals" AnnaMerie said "It's more than that and I don't have enough time in fifteen seconds to explain it however it does have some to do with your morals and how you deal with the .... Glitches...." She looked at the clock again.

"And with ten seconds to spare," AnnaMerie said, wrapping it up and all together still smiling "Goodbye" she said and vanished from the council room to appear in the room as the secretary

"I would like to make an appointment please"
