Before the Prequel

There was a time, long ago when those who are now considered wise, were once considered naive and ignorant to the real world around them. They were young once, and foolish just as everyone else was at some point in their lives. It wasn't always easy for the people who are considered to be the most powerful, or the wisest now to simply wave their hands and decide the fate of millions.

This is when that took place. This is back when all of the adults of the roleplay were teenagers who felt the teenage angsty hormonal feelings that people that age felt.

Aorta sat up in her bed sharply, a quick thrill of excitement running through her. It wasn't a holiday, no. It was the first day she would be starting her advanced tutoring sessions with Cainian and his tutor. It wasn't really his preferred thought process, but at the same time Aorta didn't like her old nanny tutor. She was strict, and she moved too slow for her. All she wanted was to learn - she wanted to learn faster.

Getting up, Aorta threw her clothes on, and wrapped her hair quickly in a bun before she ran out of her room and began slamming on Cainian's room "C'mon Nia wake up!" she screamed through the door. Nia. It was the nick name she had been calling Cainian since she was actually a really little girl. Right then, she was about fifteen - Cainian was sixteen, and Caleb was forteen

Limia sat peacefully down in the chairs which looked out onto the large, open flower gardens of the god realm. She was sitting with Azena - an incredibly close friend of her's. Though Azena was a little....vanilla for her....she was still Limia's friend- and had been since she was a little girl since their parents had put them together as friends. She looked over to her friend then, picking up her cup of tea and sipping it.

"So, are your parents still going through with trying to find you a suitor?" Limia asked in the Shakespearean I don't feel like typing out right now "They haven't mentioned it in quite a long time" she commented as she looked back over to the gardens. She on the other hand was glad to think that her mother would never come up with a suitor for her - if anything, her mother would kill anyone Limia tried to marry.

A moment later, Cainian opened the door. "Okay okay I'm up!" Cainian had never been late for a tutoring session. He loved learning. Albeit, he did prefer just learning by himself. "Is Caleb awake? He has training in like, ten minutes."

(Ok so what time period would this be?)

(I'd imagine some kind of spin on the Shakespearean time but with some mix of the Victorian/Renaissance? I'm sure that the God and the Daemon Realms went through their own version of the time line - so that mix could actually work?)

Aorta bounced from foot to foot rolling her eyes "I do not know. Probably not - he hates waking up in the morning on time" she said before motioning for him to move "Come let us go to our class nooooow" she said balling up her fitsts - she was sick of learning all the crap girls were expected to learn. Which was next to nothing.

"Fiiiine. Heh, some high God he'll be, being late all the time." Cainian shrugged. "But yeah, let's go."

Aorta rolled her eyes "Do not give him such a hard time Cainian - he is trying" she said and kicked Caleb's door as they set on their way to the library to meet up with the tutor she would be sitting in with. She knew the advisors would be against it, and that they wouldn't approve of her being there even listening in - it wasn't ladylike at all, and she would be blowing off her own tutor.

Cainian sighed. "Yeah, I guess. Seems he has himself together a bit better than me at the moment... Like what exactly do I even rule over as God of evil? Why don't I have training for that? It sure would make it easier."

Aorta looked over at Cainian and listened to what he was saying "Well, I mean .... I guess they kind of just believe it to be something of a natural situation.... I mean - intuition" she told him "You would rule over the other Gods and Goddesses of Evil and you serve as the representative of the Daemons in the court system - and all those with the darker impressions of the overall dimensions. You make sure that the balance is in place and kept aligned" Aorta explained "If you paid attention to the advisors half the time they're speaking you would know that" she said, crossing her arms and looking at him with a scolding expression

"The advisors don't explain half the shit to me. They just expect me to know. 
"None of them like me. They all see me as dangerous and they don't want to deal with me."

Aorta looked at Cainian "Well, they are wrong. They are .... just I do not know -they are just scared, but I really do not think they should have taken your title - it does not seem right"

Cainian shrugged. "I dunno, high God is a lot more stressful. Maybe it's not too bad that they switched the title to caleb."

Azena nodded to her friend "they always are and probably always will be" she sighed and shrugged "they are quite persistent"

Limia looked at her and shrugged "They would not be if they were dead" she laughed at her joke - her hilarious joke "Azena, I have been thinking long and hard about one thing....I do believe I want to sneak out to the daemon realm to see what it is like there....I was going to ask Cainian and Caleb and Zoey (if she's alive) if they wanted to join - I mean we have all been curious after all. Why not go through and see it?"

Aorta shrugged and looked up to him "It is still not their place. I just fear that they are crossing a line here is all. Caleb would do so much better as a knight, and you a kind" she said lowly "Please tell no one I said that" she knew that merely suggesting the idea would be considered treason by those who were on the council "I do not feel like being banished anytime soon"

Cainian nodded. "Caleb would indeed make a good knight... I too disagree with the advisors' discision, but I suppose there's nothing we can do about it. I just hope Caleb can handle it... He's always had a short temper and the tendency to drastically overreact..."

Caleb was still asleep, now late for his first advising meeting of the day.

Aorta smiled and nodded briskly "Yea like the time he blamed us because we did not wake him up to get to his meeting? I mean we knocked - even now I kicked the door and we talked rather loudly in front of it. He really needs to learn how to wake up on time" she said shaking her head "Or what about when he lost to me in chess? He flipped the whole board over - some of the pieces landed in the fire - he was lucky it was not our parents' game"

There was another pounding at the door as someone tried to wake him up. A servant walked in and opened the shades to get him awake

Cainian sighed. "I hope they ca teach that out of him... Or at least get him one damn good advisor."

Caleb groaned and put his pillow over his head. "Nuuuu..."

"You're late for your meeting, your grace" The servant said, hardly paying him any mind as they left the clothes for him on the bed

Aorta nodded "Or both" she said as they walked to the library, and she entered when Cainian opened the door for her politely - as he was taught

It had been something of a chunk of The Keeper's life - taking care of the odd creature that had emerged from within the depths of the lake. It wasn't quite clear what or who they were, but they were still young children who needed to be taught how to live, adapt, and support themselves.

One of them had ebony skin with a red tint, thick, massively curly, hard to control completely pitch black hair. She was tall for her age with a sturdy, supported build. She had deep brown eyes and hard, smooth cheek bones.

The other one was just as tall, with the same build, the same eyes, and the same color hair. The differences were that the second's hair was far less curly, and her skin had no red tint to it.

Neither of these children were normal. How could they be? A few hundred years after Belle had become The Keeper, the children had simply emerged, almost as if they were spit out of the lake. It was clear that they had something they would need to do - their emotions seemed to change just how dark the night would be.

Needless to say they had begun to look at The Keeper as their mother, and Atetia as their aunt. They preferred solidity and normality over anything else, and grew accustomed to the way of life they had shared with Belle. Living under the stars and sleeping under the sky. The cold never bothered them, and the heat never disturbed them. They seemed to live in a constant bubble of a comfortable temperature to them. By night, they were engulfed in the darkness they controlled, and by day, it faded away with the light of the morning sky. They wore clothes only when Belle and Atetia told them they had to, but whenever they could, all they wore were the shadows of the world around them. Dark enough to cover, but not as irritating as the cloth on their own skin.

Right then, the two girls who had not yet been named by Belle, sat by the lake, washing their hair as they had been instructed to do so. They were both sixteen, and beginning to grow restless, edgy, fidgety, excited. They wanted to explore the world - see what the outside boundaries had to offer.

(Lol wait, they're 16 already and still haven't been named?)

The keeper emerged from the lake (they can touch the lake?) and looked around, she smiled at the girls "what's wrong. You two seem unhappy " she sat down right there on the water across from them.

(Haha I dunno man I figured we could leave some anonymity as to who they are though it's a little obvious XD And I figured that....I don't know I just do not know XD The Keeper hasn't named them yet XD for some reason XD .... seriously no idea)

(Touching the lake is up to you there I didn't know if you would want them to be able to, so if you're ok with it then they can touch the lake XD)

Both the girls looked up at Belle when she came up to the lake and smiled at her.

"We were just....curious mother...." the red tinted girl said, turning to face her as she wrung out her hair "We want to know what the rest of the world is like" she elaborated

"Could you tell us?" the wavy haired twin piped eagerly as she looked over to The Keeper "What is the world like out there?" she asked, motioning over to the woods away from the safety of the clearing of the lake. They had never strayed to far away from it.

(No! Better idea! They have names but they're in a different language until they go.out into the world)

"Well out there? The same as you see here. This realm is my own. It belongs to the lake and it's keeper. It is an extension of the underworld. However I can show you the rest of the world"

(Haha yes XD So when they go into the real world they just kinda make up their own names or translate them? Feel free to call them whatever XD unless you want me to make something up/translate something?)

The two looked at each other and then back to The Keeper - they didn't seem to be entirely satisfied with the answer they got from her.

"Well, are there any other people in the world?" The wavy haired one asked

"And what's it like in the Underworld?" The red tinted girl asked "And are there any other places other than the Underworld?"

"Are there people in the Underworld?" the other asked, wringing out her own hair
